Terms & Conditions
These Terms govern access to and use of WebSnapAPI (the “Service”), including the website, API endpoints, dashboard/console, and any related software, documentation, or content.
1. Definitions
- “You” means the person or entity using the Service.
- “We / Us / WebSnapAPI” means the Service operator.
- “API” means the screenshot endpoints and related functionality.
- “Output” means screenshots, images, URLs, JSON responses, logs, and related data returned by the Service.
2. Acceptance
By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. If you are using the Service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you have authority to bind that organisation.
3. The Service
WebSnapAPI generates website screenshots from URLs you provide. Default output may be a fixed viewport
(for example 1366×768) unless configured otherwise. Some features (e.g. full-page rendering,
custom size, rate limits, higher throughput) may depend on your plan or usage tokens.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree you will not use the Service to:
- Violate any law, regulation, or third-party rights (including privacy, IP, or contractual obligations).
- Capture screenshots of content you are not authorised to access (e.g. private accounts, paywalled or gated content) unless you have permission.
- Attempt to bypass login screens, access controls, CAPTCHAs, anti-bot systems, or security features.
- Perform scanning, exploitation, or attacks (including SSRF, port scanning, or probing internal/private networks).
- Submit URLs that target private/internal addresses (e.g. localhost, RFC1918 ranges) or non-public hosts.
- Use the Service for harassment, doxxing, or harmful monitoring.
- Resell or white-label the Service without written permission (unless your plan explicitly allows it).
4.1 Rate limits & abuse controls
We may enforce rate limits, request validation, host blocking, queue controls, and other anti-abuse measures. We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe usage is abusive or risky.
5. Accounts, Keys & Security
- You are responsible for keeping API keys/tokens secure.
- You must notify us promptly if you suspect key compromise or unauthorised access.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account/keys.
6. Your Content & Output
You retain any rights you have in the content you request us to render. We do not claim ownership over your Output. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to capture, store, and use the Output.
6.1 Storage & retention
Output URLs may be stored for a limited period depending on your plan and our retention policy. You should download/archive Output you need long-term.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, software, documentation, and branding are owned by us or our licensors. Except as permitted by these Terms, you may not copy, modify, reverse engineer, or create derivative works of the Service.
8. Plans, Billing & Tokens
You may access the Service via free usage limits, pay-as-you-go tokens, subscriptions, or custom enterprise terms. Pricing and limits are described on our website or console and may change over time.
8.1 Pay-as-you-go
If you buy usage tokens/credits, you can spend them on API requests as described in the console. Usage is metered per render (and may vary by options such as full-page rendering).
8.2 Taxes
Prices may exclude VAT/sales tax unless stated otherwise. You are responsible for any taxes associated with your purchase, except where we are legally required to collect them.
9. Refunds
Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy. Where required by law, you may have additional rights.
10. Availability & Support
We aim to provide reliable uptime, but the Service is provided “as is” and may experience interruptions. Planned maintenance may occur. Current incidents may be posted on /status.
11. Suspensions & Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access (with or without notice) if you breach these Terms, if we detect abuse, or if we must do so to comply with law or protect the Service.
12. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that Output will be error-free, complete, or suitable for your purposes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid to us for the Service in the three (3) months before the event giving rise to the claim (or £100 if you paid nothing), unless a different limit is required by law.
13. Company Details & Contact

14. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we’ll take reasonable steps to notify you (e.g. via website notice or console). Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales, and the courts of England & Wales will have exclusive jurisdiction, unless your local consumer law requires otherwise.
